Mid winter food

I love baking in the wintertime - the top Pear Frangipani Pie ready for tonight's Midwinter Christmas party, and the chocolate brownie with blackberries (below) last night's dessert. Unfortunately, I had also just found out from the doctor that my cholesterol was way up (8.5) so that put paid to total enjoyment of the food baked.

Hi Aunty Jenny! Was the midwinter Christmas fun? I love your baking!!! I've been doing quite a lot too since moving into my new house, it makes life cosier and yummier!! You know I'm getting a kitten tomorrow, though Pixielotta will always be my first baby...sob.

Ha - yes, I've been enjoying all this baking but have to hold off now. The darn cholesterol reading means no more carbs for a long time. I think I'm going to take Pixie over myself.
