Spring deconstructions. . .

This was a 'workshop' we ladies from BE group envisaged for ourselves and organised. We met at a second hand clothing warehouse and spent an hour or two gathering items to cut and paste (so to speak) then arrived with sewing machines and lunch at Bev's beautiful home in Titirangi. This is us about to start sewing.
I made this 'America's Cup' outfit out of a man's shirt with that on it, and a frilly little ladies top. Love the length.
And the one below is from a long hippie dress that touched the floor. I've taken the middle out, and attached the bottom to the top part with some addition of gold shiny fabric and buttons.
Good fun.
